Why use Safe Siblings?

In 2007 I managed a technical helpdesk for a nationwide sales company. The firm supplied educational software for children of primary and secondary school age. During the years of supporting the software, the majority of calls and emails were from concerned parents and carers. Parents were concerned what their child could be using their computer for - aside from the software we had supplied them. There was a huge demand for child Internet safety training for parents.
Shortly after gaining my trainer certification, I began to train parents on how children could use their computers safely.
Research began in to regular habits, requests and procedures were investigated based on over two thousand customers who frequently contacted the helpdesk. I needed to provide a solution to allow children to use the educational software alone and stay safe online. I purchased many different appliances, software and experimented with them. Having two young children myself, I was pleased to discover the benefits of the web could be used safely.
When the sales company filed for administration in 2009; I wanted to carry on helping parents. I launched Safe Siblings to enable parents to pro-actively monitor children whilst using a computer, or mobile phone. I also provide bespoke, one to one training and a structured training course to help parents, grandparents and carers use the web safely.
